Walter Solón Romero was born in 1923 in Uyuni in the South of Bolivia and from his first art exhibition in 1944 became known for using art to talk about exploitation and resistance of social movements in Bolivia. The Foundation features a gallery that is open to the public( 10-12.30am and 3-7pm, Monday to Fridays) featuring regular exhibitions of different themes and styles of Walter Solón's work. The gallery is being gradually converted into a "house-museum" that will include interactive exhibits, audiovisual work, workshops and an information/library centre. >More on the gallery/exhibitions
